Kids love to play. Not only to they love to play, but they need to play.
There has been much research done on the need for children to play. Much of this research has been done about kids playing with each other as opposed to sitting at their desks all day doing the three R’s. Even though children need to play at young ages, they also need to play as they get older. Play relaxes one and energizes people to be able to go on and do what ever else they need to do in their lives.
When children are very young and bored, they play house or other types of dramatic play with their friends. As they grow older, they may gravitate towards board games or even 2 player card games for kids. What has happened though in recent years is that much of the play of children has moved to the computer. Even card games and board games can now be played on the computer. Children that don’t live near each other and get easily bored can just turn on the computer and they have something to do. It can be one of the Hannah Montana games like the one they really love dress up Hannah Montana games or the cooking or fashion games.
Even though children will most often turn to computers when they are really bored, there is nothing that is more fun than playing with a group of friends. The interactive nature of friends in a group playing together can always be much more of a winner than sitting at a computer all day. Even though that is the case, there are still many times that kids get bored, they have not friends around so they go to the computer. In that case, you can’t really blame the child and it is important to make sure that the right kinds of games are available for them to play.
