The event known as the triathlon is perhaps one of the most demanding sporting events known to mankind. It is, after all, the culmination of three different demanding sporting activities into one single entity. The triathlon combines bicycling, swimming, and running into a one day event. The combination of these three activities is how the activity got its name with the “tri” prefix. Many athletes from other sporting activities find that they aren’t as prepared as they thought they were for those grueling sport and have to further refine their physical fitness in order to participate. The good news about the triathlon is that it is a very inexpensive activity to participate in. One only needs to purchase a tri suit.
Tri suits are also commonly referred to as triathlon suits since they were designed specifically for the event. The tri suit should not be confused with wetsuits or rash vests, even though they look a lot alike. Nearly all tri suits are made from a tough but flexible material known as Lycra. This material is also very lightweight and comfortable. After wearing a tri suit for a short time, most participants forget they are even wearing the garment.
It is generally considered a good idea to practice for the triathlon while wearing your tri suit. This way, you will be able to get used to wearing the garment and there won’t be any surprises on the day of the event.
For the most part, tri suits are very inexpensive. The prices start at around $80 and tend to top out at $250. The good news is that in most cases, a lesser expensive tri suit is just as good as a more expensive brand. And since most people are unfamiliar with these garments anyway, who will ever know the difference?
The versatile tri suit garment is the ideal thing to wear during the triathlon event. A good quality tri suit will last for many years without wearing out or going out of style.
