With the dawn of tablet PCs this 21st century, a lot of e-book reader fans, especially that of the Kindle, are wondering whether we are going to see an e-book reader/tablet anytime soon. Known to many fans as an excellent e-book reading device, the Kindle is utilized by millions of people worldwide.
Since the first release of the first generation Kindle in the year 2007, people got hooked right away as this technological breakthrough defined paperback reading in a whole new perspective. Now with up to three generations available and including the Kindle DX, Amazon, the maker of Kindle, has been pushed by its fans to create a Kindle tablet.
Knowing that Amazon is comprised of a secretive bunch of people, nobody really knows yet as to the truth whether indeed they would give out a Kindle tablet this year or not. But, thinking about some facts, it is likely possible. If you can still remember, the company bought TouchCo last year which specializes on touchscreen technology. Also, the people behind the great e-Ink display of the Kindle has made an announcement just recently that they were able to create a coloured screen perfect for reading and would not compromise battery life. In addition to these two, Amazon has been spotted lately to be so busy developing Android apps. What else could these things mean if not leading to the conclusion of a Kindle tablet production?
Whilst waiting for the day to come, people can still enjoy their Kindle reading device. Also, those who are interested to purchase the e-book reader may do so by checking the Amazon site and placing their orders.
Let’s just all hope to see a Kindle tablet soon. Finally, Apple Inc. would have a great competitor when that happens! Just keep your fingers tightly crossed!
